About the Seffner-Mango Branch Library
Located between the communities of Seffner and Mango in eastern Hillsborough County, Seffner-Mango Branch Library celebrated its grand opening on January 15, 2009. The new 15,000 square foot branch was built as the library's permanent home.
A distinctive feature of the branch is its Science Room, developed as a result of community involvement to foster the love of science. The room serves a quiet study area and houses a unique collection of realia such as rock and mineral samples, microscopes, telescopes, etc. Students of all ages may check out these materials to help build their science knowledge.
Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Seffner-Mango Branch Library are active and dedicated supporters of branch. They operate a book store in the lobby of the branch and proceeds from book sales are used to fund library programs and to provide support of other library operations.
The original Seffner-Mango Branch Library was a 15,200 square foot rental space next door to the WalMart in Mango Square that had served the community since 1998.
This branch does not feature a public art collection.
